Did you hire someone to mount your Flat Screen TV?
If you have a Flat Screen TV mounted on a wall in your home, this question if for you.
Did you hire someone to mount your flat screen television or did you do it yourself? We have a 42 inch and we want it mounted above the fireplace. We’d prefer a professional do it with minimal to no wires showing, who do we even hire? A contractor, electrician, both? Help, lol!
I would not mount it over the fireplace. Although fireplaces actually chill a room rather than heating a room there are 2 problems associated with the TV being over the fireplace. The heat is localized to that area and the smoke rises out & will not only get inside the TV, but on the screen as well.
The question of installation requires a search of the surface you decide to place it on and then ensure there is room inside that wall for the wires etc. Depending on the wall etc. it may require an electrician and/or someone to remove & replace the wall surfaces.
