NEIGHBOURHOODS OF LEARNING

On the heels of the B.C. Provincial government's announcement of the $30-million Neighbourhoods of Learning pilot project in September 2008, The NVSD put out a call for proposals for Neighbourhoods of Learning project within the school district.

S.A.N.E. (spearheaded by Helen) put forward a proposal - text available below - and in January 2009 the NVSD Board voted to accept S.A.N.E.'s proposal, with instructions to respond regarding a facility that could be used for the project in conjunction with the Windsor House School's own facility needs. This was in keeping with the accepted proposal which stated that the N. of L. project be housed in the same building as the school.
